Tips on lowering import duty
Found our site, like our prices, but you are worried about how much it will cost import the goodies. Most country's charge import duty on goods coming into the country. There are a few things you can do to make sure you pay little or no duty.

1. There is usually a duty free limit under which no fees are payable. i.e. in Australia it is A$250 so providing the goods are worth less than this amount they arrive at your door duty free. to check you duty free limit go to our customs page

2. Keep your orders small, it is better to get 2 small orders that are under the duty free limit than one larger order that is over and will attract duty. Two parcels will cost a little more to post but much less than if you pay duty. i.e. a 1kg parcel to USA will cost a maximum of A$22.50 where as 2 x 500g parcels cost A$25.00, a difference of only A$2.50.

3. Watch what you order. Postage is paid by weight so don't order things that are heavy but have low value i.e. stuffing materials. The cost of 1kg of glass beads is only A$9.30 (US$6.30) but you could pay A$18.00 (US$12.00) in postage, more than the value of the goods. If you really need these heavy items ask us about economy air rate. They are a bit slower but will save you money.
