Beary Cheap Bear Supplies have been established since 1994. We, Jim & Di have been here since November 2007, our predecessors Derek & Cindy started the business in 1994 and as with many crafts the mail order business grew from a hobby in the Australian Bush. Read the story of the early days.

The latest craze in bearmaking...
Needle Felting is an exciting new craft that is sweeping the world. It is achieved by poking wool fibre ("sliver") with a special barbed needle many times until it begins to felt together. As you poke you are able to turn and shape the wool to form a teddy bear head or arm, or any 3 dimensional shape you want. The finished piece is firm, not squashy and is made of felted wool all the way through, so there is no stuffing needed and no stitching together either. Even the ears can be felted on, not stitched.

Form a small ball, shaping the head to form a forehead.
Form ears & attach by poking needle into head
Embroider nose & mouth
Insert glass eyes & you've completed the head

Shape arms, Shape legs, String joint all pieces
Your finished bear!
You can even add pads to the foot or eye patches.
