Hi Bear makers, Welcome to the 165th edition of the Teddy Web Gazette. Thank you to all those who supported our synthetic promotion , a lot of fabric left the warehouse during that period and is going a long way to making space for a new range we hope to have probably early in the new year.The difficulty lies in determining which ones to have ! Every manufacturer says his is the best and trying to find a balance is quite a task , as we would rather stick to one main supplier and perhaps top up with one or two others but very fickle as they all seem to take it personally, however that is our problem and not yours, all you need to do is wait for the final selection to get here and hopefully they will be well received , looks like some old faithfuls combined with a few new fabrics will be the final selection, we will obviously keep you informed. How to make beautiful Teddy Bears A very informative and up to date DVD by Dee Glossop , a well known Australian bear artist , this is an 83 mintue 2 disc presentation on the basic bear making techniques with step by step graphics , plenty of handy hints and practical demonstrations.Each set comes with a reference handbook, bonus pattern for Elsie-May, the 33cm (11 inch) model in the DVD, together with an informative leaflet on the history of Teddy Bears and finally a bonus birth certificate for your first creation ! Pattern Reduction & Enlargement Calculator Something every bear maker should have ! This is a double sided calculator and with it you can take an existing pattern that you want to enlarge from say 10cms to 17cms , simply point the red arrow to 10cm then go down to 17cms and in the left hand column it will tell you by how much you need to enlarge your photocopy by and the rest will be done by the photo copier. At $10.50 a very well priced addition to any bear makers tool kit.
