Hi bear makers and welcome to the 152nd edition of the Teddy Web Gazette, it's quite incredible to think that we are in the 4th month of the year already and we trust that all of you who celebrate Easter enjoyed the break and if like us used it to visit family or freinds we hope that both they and you enjoyed the time with them. It's been a very busy time for us here between visiting our daughter in Perth in WA,preparing for the dogs to arrive which has just happened at long last ! and finally buying a house and engaging builders to do alterations, which hopefully will be as close as possible finished by the time our container with all our goods and chattels arrives around the middle of April, that has been a monumental task indeed, and no matter what the shipping companies tell you, you must add plenty time on to it ! It has taken almost 3 months for a container to get to Australia from Botswana when it should have been 6 weeks maximum or at least we were told it would be 6 weeks maximum! Thank goodness for rented furnished accommodation ! Happy bear making.......Jim & Di. WE ARE HERE AT LAST
Their long journey at last is over and are both well and healthy. We thought after 7 months they would not recognise us but it was like they had never left home. They have found some things strange such as the lovely park that we took them to on Wednesday which was their first long walk in Australia. They are also going to have lots of fun trying out all the different doggie food which you just don't get in Botswana. They came to work with us on Thursday and already have made friends with" Indigo" who is the lovely little Poodle next door and hopefully soon they will meet Derek and Cindy's "Bessie" whom we got so attached to while we worked together in December. We will update you about Derek and Cindy as soon as we can get together with them, all of us are going through a busy time right now Happy Beary Weekend!! "Emma Braiden" sent these photos of her bears that she made from our Mohair range.
"San" is made out of our black 218 and Macademia 215, these Mohairs are gorgeous and make great Pandas. The Gold Coast International Teddy Bear, Doll & Bead Fair Will be on June 8th this year at the usual venue of Jupiter Hotel & Casino, Broadbeach
