RIP little Naji...
A special email was sent to all customers yesterday,
advising you all of the tragic death of our little bear cub "Naji".
We've received litererally hundreds of emails from very teary eyed customers & friends - all conveying their sympathy & support
for which we thank you.
We have learned from the sanctuary that Naji was a very much loved resident. His playful antics made everyone smile & he will be greatly missed by those close to him - both his human companions & his bear playmates (especially his best friend "Peanut").
Raising the funds to sponsor this little bear was a mammoth effort
& we will always be extremely grateful to each & every one of you who so generously donated.
Even though very few of us had the privilege of actually meeting Naji, he will always hold a special place in our hearts.

As you all know, we've been trying desparately to raise money for "Naji's den. Sadly, as he won't be needing it now, we thought we'd donate the funds raised so far (in excess of $5,400 ) to
Animals Asia to help Naji's little bear friends at the sanctuary
- both present & future.
As a LAST GIFT in memory of our precious bear,
we're giving you the opportunity to make
a small donation in Naji's memory.
Any additional monies raised from this newsletter, will be added to our existing tally & forwarded to Animals Asia.

Dear Cindy and Derek, Thanks for letting me, one of your customers know about the tragic loss of Naji.
What a terrible accident for him and just awful for all those staff who loved him. It's a sad, sad time for all but he was a sweet bear loved
obviously by all those who came in contact with him and touched their lives in a special way. It is never easy to lose a loved animal no matter what the circumstances are. But he died in a loving environment not in a cage in agony while people around him made money doing terrible things to him. He was a lucky bear to be rescued and hopefully the team at chengdu can go on and save many more bears and give them

These two heavenly bears are by Susie Bedford-Stradling from the UK. Susie has only been making bears since November 06. She loves teddies and also believes in Angels, so what better combination than Guardian Angel Bears!
The red bear on the left is made from our 284 Rosella Mohair. His name is "El Auria", he is the "Keeper of the Flame".
The mauve bear is made from our 284 Misty Mauve Mohair. Her name is "Serena", she is an "Angel of Abundance"
